A-Level subject combination
Students generally take four content subjects, commonly three at H2 and one at H1, with at least one from a contrasting discipline (arts for a science student, and the other way round), alongside General Paper and Project Work. Each JC sets its own combinations, and being posted to a science or arts course does not guarantee a preferred one.
Science combination
For example H2 Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry. Keeps engineering, medicine and most computing degrees open.
Arts combination
For example H2 Economics, History and Literature in English.
Further Mathematics
An extra H2 mathematics subject for strong mathematicians, offered at some JCs.
Computing
H2 Computing, offered at most but not all JCs.
Music
H2 Music, offered at only a few JCs.
China Studies in English
An H2 humanities subject offered at some JCs.
Commerce at Millennia Institute
The A-Level Commerce course is offered only at Millennia Institute, over three years.
International Baccalaureate Diploma
Offered instead of the A-Level at two schools: Anglo-Chinese School (Independent) and St. Joseph's Institution.
